User Controls

Actions Bar

The primary user control options are located at the bottom center of the screen and include:

  1. Camera: Click this to toggle your camera on/off. If off, it will appear with a slash through the icon.

  2. Microphone: Click this to toggle your microphone on/off. If off, it will appear with a slash through the icon.

  3. Send Emoji: Click to share an emoji from the list. It will appear next to your avatar for five seconds

  4. Spatial Audio Settings: This lets you know when a room has spatial audio on or off. If there is a slash through the ear, spatial audio is off in the room, and everyone can hear everyone. If the ear is green without a slash, then spatial audio is on, and you will have to move close to other users in order to hear and talk with them.

Zoom in/out

Zoom in and out of your World via your mouse scroll wheel, by pinching in and out on your trackpad, or use the zoom +/- on the right side of the screen.

You can also adjust your view by clicking on the background and dragging it to pan your view around any room.

Rooms List

Find and move to another Room via “Room List.”

Open or close the “Room List” by clicking on the arrow in the upper left corner.

Select your desired Room from the "Rooms" Drop-down list and select "Join Room."

This also shows you how many users are in the room and user names.

Some Rooms also have interactive icons that can transport you to another Room.

Profile

After you log in, you can change your profile image and personal information by clicking “Your Profile” and “Edit My Profile” in the upper right menu.

To update the image, click “Edit Profile Image,” choose an image from your device and click “Open.”

You can update the following fields: name, email, job title, company, and about. When you’re done with your updates, click “Save.”

Chat Panel

Chat with users, ask questions, and add comments to a Room using the “Chat Panel.” Messages are specific to each Room, and all Room users can read the Room’s “Chat Panel.” You will enter into new conversations in each Room since messages do not transfer between Rooms.

Open or close the “Chat Panel” by clicking on the arrows in the lower right corner.

Settings and Help

Need to change your device settings? Click the Settings Menu located at the bottom right of the screen. Select "Audio/Video" for a drop-down menu of all available devices.

This is where you can change your camera and microphone, check your audio output settings, and confirm if you're wearing headphones.

Need Help? Click the Settings Menu located at the top right of the screen. Here you can access Double A’s Help Center and revisit the tutorial. You can, also, send a message to out chat bot by clicking on the (?) in the lower right of the screen.

Engage in a Room

Rooms inside your World are meant to engage. That could entail interacting with other users in the space, learning something new, captivating your audience, or simply having fun.

View embedded content

Embedded content is visible once you enter the room. Simply click on the content to get started.

Click on interactables

When you enter a room, you will notice some content is clickable. Interactive content comes in many forms, videos, articles, images, and more. To close pop-out boxes, click on the “X” in the top right corner or anywhere outside the box.

Move your avatar closer to another user to have a conversation

If the Room has spatial audio enabled, you will need to move closer to a user in order to hear and talk with them.

Clicking on another user's avatar will open up a menu with a few options. You can...

View another user's profile
