Product Development Highlights

Intuitive Comms UI

Communication is a backbone USP of the platform, supporting our Connection pillar, so we’ve given it some love.

  • Users are now shown how far their voice is traveling in spatial audio, as well as who can expect to hear them, whenever they move around.

  • New streamlined controls & notifications for moving between room-wide megaphone mode and localized spatial audio microphone.

Radically Enhanced Audio/Video

  • Double A’s audio/video tech is entirely our own, and we’ve made some massive strides on that front, supporting our Connection pillar.

  • Audio and video are now even more performant than before, ensuring little to no dropped frames, delays, popping or any other issues.

  • This approach allows us to support a scale of concurrent users that radically exceeds competition. We’re also not tied into any endless licensing contracts, or tied to anyone else’s roadmap.

Truly Multiplatform

  • Focusing on our Access pillar, we’ve rolled out beta support on iOS, & full support on Android.

  • We’ve deployed a scalable UI system that allows the product to live its best life, regardless of the platform/device it’s accessed on.

Just for fun: showing Double A now working on a digital whiteboard :)

Analytics

  • V1 of our self-serve Analytics Dashboard is shipping now, supporting our Creation pillar.

  • Moderators can filter by room, date range, and get an analytics roll-up for grazing.

  • They can also export a CSV to get more granular data, that can be plugged into any data visualization suite

Updated Roles, Permissions & Invite Code System

In support of our Creation pillar, we’ve revamped our roles/permissions structure to better serve our customers’ robust spectrum of needs/scenarios, as well as to support the evolution of our packaging & pricing.

  • We’re now able to assign temporary “Engagement Levels,” instead of setting permissions on all users as semipermanent roles. This has allowed us to create an Invite Code System, which supports short-term or guest users who need to bypass Spectator Mode limits or be assigned speaker roles without authentication.

  • There are internal permissions that we aren’t telegraphing on this customer-facing sheet here, but it will give you an idea.

Coming Up Next

  • Broadcast Mode - Ability to broadcast across all rooms simultaneously.

  • Enhanced Room List - More responsive, dynamic, providing deeper control for creators & hosts.

  • Project Fireball - The fun stuff :) We’re designing a system of persistent gamification of all interactions on the platform, creating deeper incentive, buy-in, stickiness, and radically supporting our Connection pillar. Users can send each other reactions. Below is an early prototype. Really excited about this one!
