How to setup a World and access World Settings.

To create a world, you will need the Name of the world and the desired URL

The URL will be <your world name>.doublea.com.

Once your world is created, you can begin to customize it!

You will need to be an Admin to customize your World. Once your Double A contact has set you up as Admin, open your World URL in an approved browser, and log in to your World with your Admin credentials.

Each World comes with a default room, room name (First Room) and background as noted in this image.

To begin updating and customizing your world, access the Admin Panel located in the lower right corner of the screen.

Once in the Admin Panel, there are the following options:

  • World Settings

  • Room Settings

  • User Accounts

  • Analytics (coming soon!)

World Settings

In the World Settings menu, you can update access settings, manage rooms, turn the tutorial on or off, and update the login screen background and messaging.

World Access Settings

Here you can update user access to your world. You can set it so Guests can join, users must register in order to join, and allow a user to create an account. For more details on User Access, please review the User Access article.

Require Access Code: You can add an access code to secure your World. Toggle the access code to on, enter your desired access code, and then select “Save.”

World Actions

You can choose to show the tutorial for first time users. When the box is checked, the tutorial will show for users who access the World for the first time. When the box is not checked, the tutorial will not show for new users.

World Setup

World Name

You can update the name of the World. The default name is “First World.” After you enter your desired World Name select “Save.”

Login Preview

This is a visual of what the login screen looks like. Updates to the background, logo, title and message will appear here for you to review.

Login Background

To update the background of the login screen, select “Change.” This will open up a window with the option to upload an image from your computer or choose from a previously uploaded image. To upload an image, select “Upload.” Choose your desired image and wait until you see the image appear in the list. Once the image is in the list, select that image and “Save.”

Note: Login Background image should be a 16:9 aspect ratio, 1920x1080 pixels, .jpeg, .jpg or .png file.

Login Logo

To update the logo of the World, select “Change.” This will open up a window with the option to upload an image from your computer or choose from a previously uploaded image. To upload an image, select “Upload.” Choose your desired image and wait until you see the image appear in the list. Once the image is in the list, select that image and “Save.”

Note: Logo image should be a 1:1 aspect ratio, 400x400 pixels, .jpeg, .jpg or .png file.

World Login Title

This is text that will greet users to your World. Enter the name of your world, a welcoming message, anything you’d like under 100 characters. Select “Save” to maintain updates.

World Login Message

This is additional text that appears under the Title. Enter further details about the World, a prompt, anything you’d like under 100 characters. Select “Save” to maintain updates.

Manage Rooms

This is where you can manage the “Rooms List” that appears to users in the World.

To set a Default Room, Click on the three ellipses next to the Room you want to be your default and select “Set Default.”

To change the order of a room, select and hold your cursor over the two lines next to the room name. Drag your mouse up and down to the desired location of the room.
